I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly proceeding.
