Paramount Skydance Will Remove Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Skydance Paramount is scheduled to initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 positions in the United States as part of a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are anticipated, with the company aiming to announce complete information during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Previous updates had indicated that Paramount planned to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.

By December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
